Project background
Finstro is a fin-tech company, a B2B player of BNPL. When I got onboard, the company already have a functioning iOS & Android app. However as a B2B service, the mobile app was not satisfying all the business users need. I was asked to design functionalities of mobile app into desktop.

Research
While speaking to stakeholders hoping to get an idea the problem we want to solve and who our users are, I realised there are a lot of knowledges within the company, but there were also many different views. So I proposed to do a stakeholder survey to baseline who we really think our users are, what's their pain point, who's our competitors etc.

Navigation
I started by looking into each specific menu item and understand what each functionality do. Apart from a few major action, everything else was chucked into 'Setting' without further grouping. I tried play around with a few different groupings and shared with stakeholders and discussed. Once agreed, I then turned the IA into wireframes as shown below. As part of this exercise we also ensured the navigation caters for future expansion.

Design System
After I got onboard, I was informed there will be more designers joining the team soon. I had some lead time so I started setting up the DS in Figma to ensure there are baseline between designers.
Once designers were onboarded, I initiated weekly catchup between the team to go through each components I have setup, to brainstorm and iterate where needed.

Brand Update
While the product team were designing web app, there was also a rebrand project running in parallel by the brand team. I worked with the brand designer to ensure product team is inline.
The brand designer was thinking to use only 3 colours, blue (as accent), black and white to portrait the brand image. While a UI system usually requires a lot more colours such as shades of greys, system feedback successful, warning, alert, as green, yellow, red etc.
After discussion brand designer agreed to help us define those colour which will used for UI only.

We went through different options to ensure the apps are aligned
